  • Developing capability and currency of clinical practice in relation to medication management, wound care, continence management, palliative care & dementia care

Our ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Knowledge of the Aged Care Standards and how they translate in practice
  • Experience as an ACFI Officer/Educator highly regarded
  • High level of computer literacy

We have created 7 brand new positions for Relief Customer Support Managers nationwide – the purpose of this role is not only Relief Customer Support Manager, but also to provide assistance to your hub in times of Covid19 exposure, through assistance with rostering and temp recruitment agency communication.

About the role: 

  • Full time leadership role – Monday to Friday hours 
  • Relief role covering the [insert] region, while also providing support during the ongoing management of Covid19
  • Management of customer enquiries, conduction of site tours 
  • Management of sales pipeline to improve conversion rates 
  • Implementing sales programs to improve uptake of additional services 
  • Monitoring service standards and customer feedback 
  • Reception and other administration duties where required 
  • Assisting with roster management (remotely) of our Care Communities who may be experiencing a Covid19 exposure
  • Working with recruitment agencies to assist with interim support during outbreak

Our ideal candidates will demonstrate the following: 

  • Experience in Sales/Administration roles (Aged Care preferred)  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Demonstrated track record of success in sales 
  • Rostering experience would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Excellent computer literacy skills and experience using a variety of sales/administration programs and software 
  • Experience in delivering training is highly regarded

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Dementia Care Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an innovative, senior clinician, with demonstrated experience in a similar role and the desire to further develop your career in dementia within a sector leader. As Dementia Care Consultant, you will play an instrumental role in implementing Opal’s dementia philosophy and model of care on a national level. This will be achieved through the delivery of a dementia specific curriculum and a positively engaged team culture where leadership, Meaningful life Champions, Educators and care teams are equipped with the knowledge and practical skills to deliver the desired resident outcomes.

You will have the unique opportunity to be a part of a team who are developing Centres of Excellence across our homes through a dedicated programme designed to improve Person Centred Care and meaningful life for all our residents.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Registered Nursing AHPRA Registration with solid aged care and dementia experience.
  • A recognised qualification and/or desire to specialise in dementia care.
  • Proven experience with the support and care of people with Dementia is essential. 
  • Proven abilities in supporting quality and continuous improvement initiatives in aged care.
  • Demonstrated experience in education and training including application of evidenced-based adult learning methodologies.
  • A bright, creative and innovative thinker with a can-do attitude, who can positively contribute to Opal’s dementia philosophy.
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills and ability to build strong, long lasting and meaningful relationships with the team, residents and family members.

This position does require someone who is flexible to travel on a regular basis across NSW and Inter-State.

The Fine print

All applicants must be willing to obtain a police clearance certificate via Opal’s police check system and obtain a personal NDISWC through your state government provider. You may also be required to undergo pre-employment medical and attend a drug screen. 

Please note: a current flu vaccination is required to work at Opal HealthCare and from 17 September 2021, a COVID-19 vaccination will also become a requirement of employment.

About the role:

  • Permanent hours with weekday and weekend shift options
  • Assisting residents with Personal Care needs
  • Assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living
  • Ensuring accurate and concise documentation in Care Planning
  • Working under the direction of Registered Nurses and Senior Management

Our ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support or equivalent
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
