We are a second-generation family company with our roots in regional Australia. A large proportion of our workforce is employed in key regional centres and we work closely with farmers across South Australia, Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

Our head office is in Adelaide and we operate meat processing plants in SA and NSW with other processing, value-adding and distribution facilities nationally. We continue to invest heavily in developing our operating capabilities in Australia.

The Role:

We currently have positions available for dedicated Packers to join our Production Team, located at Laverton North, Vic. We promote a positive working culture within the business and value honesty, reliability & integrity.

Your duties will be varied, but will include:

  • Preparation of customer orders to company and customer specifications
  • Packing and de-cartoning meat product
  • Order processing and picking and packing
  • Liaising with production, admin staff and other team members
  • Computer labelling scale operation
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Adhering to Workplace Health and Safety Procedures
  • Regular lifting is a requirement of this job
  • You will be working with beef, lamb and chicken products

Due to continued growth and demand, we currently have a number of opportunities available for both entry-level and experienced meat industry process workers to join the TFI family. We offer a day or evening roster, with a variety of employment types: full-time permanent, part-time or casual. Our roles are suitable for school and university students and those looking for a casual role over the Summer holidays.

In light of recent Agreements, we are able to consider international workers as well as local individuals; we encourage all to apply!

The roles will include:

  • Packing and sorting;
  • Trimming and cutting;
  • Boning and slicing tasks;
  • Chiller pushing;
  • Floor labouring roles;
  • Slaughter floor general labouring;
  • Loading;
  • Scanning
  • Carton room labouring/operations;
  • Stock receiving/movement;
  • General labouring tasks;
  • General warehousing tasks.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in the meat processing / agricultural industry is favoured but not essential
  • Ability to perform work safely under limited supervision
  • Ability to work individually and within a team environment
  • Current Driver’s Licence and access to car, as public transport is not available
  • Dedicated, punctual and reliable individuals.
