About the Role

In your new role as a ‘Community Impact Leader’, you will lead a small team to strengthen community supports around middle years children and young people (aged 9-14 years old) in the Bay & Basin area, so they thrive into adolescence and early adulthood. With the community we have identified five community goals and are working together with a coalition of stakeholders using strengths based community development and collective impact approaches.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Commitment and drive to improving lives of middle years children and young people, especially those with greater needs.
  • Ability to see and draw upon the strengths already in communities
  • Demonstrated experience in leading Community campaigns and experience with community engagement methodologies
  • Well-developed strategic marketing, communications, and project management skills that have been applied in a grass roots community setting
  • Proven track record in building and managing relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Respect for First Nations people, culture and approaches to building stronger communities.
  • Commitment to a ‘try-test- learn’ approach
