About the Role
Reporting into the Head of Technology this role is responsible for designing, executing, and sustaining solutions and processes that fulfill Craveable Brands data requirements. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the utmost level of Data quality, availability, and accessibility. This role also has a significant impact on the greater business by championing data literacy, facilitating data driven decision making, creating technical data solutions which align to business strategy and more. This role is also a management position with one direct report.
Key Activities Include:
Own and Design architecture for the data environment:
- Including data ingestion, staging, cleaning, presentation, and governance.
- Maintaining and creating data roadmaps for designing, planning, implementing, and governing off data technology.
- Manage the roadmap for enhancement and development of the data environment.
Data Program Management:
- Orchestrate, lead, and influence virtual teams, ensuring successful implementation of projects.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including technical partners, vendors, and other business functions.
- Ensure that best in class technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices (including security) are applied to data projects and business decision making.
IT Leadership:
- Communicate technology concepts to non-technical users, senior IT leadership and executive teams with a focus on business value and benefit.
- Provide technical leadership and promote data literacy within the business.
About You
Essential
- Minimum 5 years Data Warehousing Experience (2 years with large data sets).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with Data Integration tools (minimum 2 years with multi hour near real time daily ETL jobs).
- Advanced knowledge in data Modelling and experience with methodologies such as Data Vault.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with Business Intelligence tools.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions, cloud-based infrastructure & database architecture and Business Intelligence solutions.
- Prior experience working with SQL Server, Google Cloud Platform and AWS.
Desirable
- Tertiary qualifications in computer science or related fields.
- Certifications in data disciplines and frameworks such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Previous experience with franchised business models and/or the Quick Service Restaurant industry.
