About the role:

  • Permanent Part-time role available.

Murdoch Gardens Care Community is currently looking for Housekeeping Services Officer – Leading Hand, to join our hospitality/cleaning team on a permanent part-time basis.

Murdoch Gardens Care Community is nestled in the Southern Suburbs of Perth approximately 15 minutes from Fremantle and 20 minutes from Perth CBD, accessible by the Kwinana Freeway and South Street and close to the Mandurah Railway Line (Murdoch Station). Murdoch Gardens offers high care and memory support to 141 residents. Split across 6 wings with a café, hairdressers, spacious gardens and Concentric Allied Health Services which is open to the community. Murdoch Gardens offers a multitude of opportunities for career growth and progression, supported by the leadership team and wider multidisciplinary teams within the care community.

What we look for:

  • Certificate in Hospitality/Cleaning/Tourism/Aged Care desirable.
  • The ability to work across our cleaning and laundry departments in a higher duties capacity.
  • Understanding, knowledge and Experience in Commercial cleaning/laundry operation.
  • Ability to guide the housekeeping team to meet or exceed Opal Service Signatures
  • Empathy with the needs of the frail aged (dementia care included)
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

All applicants must be willing to obtain a police clearance certificate via Opal’s police check system and undergo a pre-employment medical. You may also be required to attend a drug screen and you will be required to have a flu & Covid-19 vaccination in accordance with government directions.

From 1st February 2021, you are required to obtain an NDISWC through your state government provider prior to commencing employment with us.
