Reporting to the National Clinical Governance & Risk Manager and based at our Sydney CBD Home Office, we are seeking a National Quality Advisor to join our Quality Team on a Full Time Permanent basis. The purpose of the role is to develop, support implementation, monitor and review a quality management system that is consistent with Opal HealthCare quality governance framework; and ensure ongoing compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, professional and industry standards and guidelines. This position is a senior clinician and advisor to the business within clinical risk and quality improvement and compliance.
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Minimum 5 year in management in Health or Aged Care. Post graduate qualifications in gerontology, Health/Business Management also highly desirable
  • At least 5 years’ experience in nursing, risk and compliance (health care) or health management; preferably in the aged care sector
  • An extensive understanding and passion for the aged care sector and resident rights
  • The ability to act as a Clinical advisor to the organisation and an escalation point for quality compliance
  • The ability to work independently, with a true passion for care, continuous quality improvement and the aged care industry
  • Excellent stakeholder skills to collaborate with national operations and information technology team to develop, revise and promote effective national care information, systems & processes
  • Excellent understanding of the application of aged care quality standards

An ability to travel on regular basis and at short notice is a requirement of this position. 

The Fine print

All applicants must be willing to obtain a police clearance certificate via Opal’s police check system and obtain a personal NDISWC through your state government provider. You may also be required to undergo pre-employment medical and attend a drug screen. 

Please note: a current flu vaccination is required to work at Opal HealthCare and from 17 September 2021, a COVID-19 vaccination will also become a requirement of employment.
