About the Gig
The New Product Development (NPD) team at craveable brands. is responsible for developing and commercializing the menu innovation of the group’s 3 brands: Red Rooster, Oporto and Chicken Treat. Reporting directly to the Head of Menu Innovation, your new role will see you responsible for moving multiple products through the Stage Gate process for our brands and working closely with Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations to develop new products in line with the brands marketing calendars.
 
Your strong communication skills & partnering will be on show as you liaise with our supply partners to develop signature ingredients & products, source the latest consumer insights and NPD ideas and to implement projects on budget & on time. You’ll lead sensory reviews with cross functional teams throughout the ideation and commercialisation process, organise food samples, document and collate feedback for internal stakeholders & supply partners.  You’ll analyse line trial and production stock as well as recommending and validating instore procedures for all new products. You’ll have an in-depth knowledge of food ingredients and functionality, microbiology and food safety which you’ll demonstrate through creating and manage recipe development to deliver accurate and timely recipes within the IPP.
 
About you
This is an exciting time for our brands as they each go from strength to strength and continue to build upon their successes. To be successful in this role you’ll have 6 plus years’ product development and technical food experience including sound credibility with industry suppliers together with formal qualifications in Food Technology & Food Safety. Ready to eat product &/or broad ingredient commercialisation experience in manufacturing is highly regarded as well as experience in the QSR industry.
 
You’ll have passion for food and food innovation and a sound knowledge of world cuisine, market trends and methods of cookery. Finally, your attention to detail will be second to none and your technical and commercial expertise and love of creating & cooking in a kitchen environment will make you a standout for this role.
