Computer Science Education Week<\/a> (CSEdWeek) is right around the corner!<\/p>\n From the 5th to the 11th of December, CSEdWeek is a chance to inspire K-12 students to learn computer science, advocate for equity in computer science education, and celebrate the contributions of students, teachers, and partners to the field.<\/p>\n This year, the week’s theme highlights computer science education’s progress over the past decade. There have been many great advancements in making computer science education more equitable and accessible for all learners and a breakdown of the gender stereotype that has existed across this key area for years.<\/p>\n To highlight the many ways you can get involved in computer science – and where computer science education can take you – we\u2019ve collated some of our favourite employee interviews from various employers.<\/p>\n These interviews showcase the diversity and opportunity available to ALL who want to see where computer science education could take them!<\/p>\n We are so lucky here at Explore Careers to hear from some amazing people doing incredible things in their work in the fields of STEM and computer science.<\/p>\n You might have already explored some of these stories, but we\u2019re pretty confident one or two here will be new to you – and there\u2019s always something new to take away from these talks!<\/p>\n Here are some of our recent favs to get stuck into:<\/p>\n Allen, Graduate Consultant with Capgemini, joins us in our latest employee interview to give us a full insight into who Capgemini are and what they do to help their clients make sense of a busy digital world!<\/p>\n Alongside some excellent advice for anyone thinking about a tech career and why you should always go after what you want \u2013 Allen\u2019s talk is well worth diving into!<\/p>\n WATCH Allen\u2019s employee story here!<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n You might know them as a homegrown Aussie telecoms company, but what else are the tech giants at Telstra up to? Kiah breaks down some key misconceptions about her role and why there\u2019s so much you\u2019ll take away from one of the world\u2019s most unique careers.<\/p>\n WATCH Kiah\u2019s employee story here!<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n As a teenager, Roisin imagined what an engineering career might look like \u2014 it could, she hoped, involve fun things like playing with robots, 3D printers and lasers. In that case, there\u2019s a pretty good chance that WiseTech Global\u2019s software has been used to help get the product to your house!<\/p>\n But who is WiseTech, and what exactly do they do?<\/p>\n Dillon, a Software Engineer in their Data Science and Machine Learning Team, is here to clue us up.
