{"id":19271,"date":"2023-05-15T09:12:25","date_gmt":"2023-05-14T23:12:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/explorecareers.emotedigital.com.au\/?p=19271"},"modified":"2023-06-02T09:37:01","modified_gmt":"2023-06-01T23:37:01","slug":"national-careers-week-2023-whats-on-where-to-get-started","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/explorecareers.com.au\/national-careers-week-2023-whats-on-where-to-get-started\/","title":{"rendered":"National Careers Week 2023: What\u2019s On &#038; Where to Get Started"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Sound the alarm:<\/strong> <em>It\u2019s National Careers Week 2023!<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Okay, so there weren\u2019t <em>really<\/em> sirens, but we are excited about everything this week offers &#8211; and for the extra resources and content, we\u2019ll be bringing your way!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To kick us off, we thought it\u2019d be helpful to give a bit of a rundown on what to expect in the week ahead and where you can start getting involved to boost your career journey.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Let\u2019s get it!<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4><strong>What is National Careers Week?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/careersweek.com.au\/\">National Careers Week<\/a> Australia runs from the 15th to the 21st of May, 2023.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s an initiative of the <a href=\"https:\/\/cica.org.au\/\">Career Industry Council of Australia<\/a> and aims to celebrate careers, career development, career development services, and career development practitioners.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also promotes career development&#8217;s economic, social, and personal benefits for all Australians.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Essentially, it\u2019s an opportunity for everyone &#8211; schools, colleges, universities, employers, and organisations like us &#8211; to come together and offer a big melting pot of a week of events, workshops, talks, events, and resources all geared to helping you explore your next career steps.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No matter what stage of the journey you\u2019re at, there\u2019s plenty this week to help you get ahead.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>What\u2019s On?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Throughout the week, you\u2019ll find a host of interactive events and workshops taking place. Some are in-person alongside lots of live online seminars and talks &#8211; there\u2019s also a host of <a href=\"https:\/\/careersweek.com.au\/on-demand-webinars\/\">on-demand<\/a> content you can access anytime!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The best way to find out what\u2019s on &#8211; near you and online &#8211; is to check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/careersweek.com.au\/events-page\/\">Events page<\/a> on the National Careers Week website. They possess an impressive set of transferable skills, including the ability to work within a team, accept and apply feedback, exceptional time management skills, resilience, and an extraordinary work ethic (just to name a few!).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During this 40-minute interactive Zoom session, explore how student-athletes can leverage their skills, mindset, and experiences gained through their athletic pursuits to excel in their post-university careers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><em>Keen to learn more?
