Most people don\u2019t forge positive, deliberate <\/span>work habits<\/span> until they\u2019re already established in their careers, and this is something we want to change. While attempting to make this kind of positive change is great at any point in your life, it\u2019s definitely a lot easier to start implementing <\/span>good work habits<\/span> from the get-go!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So, if you haven\u2019t yet embarked on your career journey (or if you\u2019ve just joined the workforce), you\u2019re at the perfect point in your career to lay out some ground rules and develop <\/span>good work habits<\/span>. Trust us, it\u2019s worth it. They\u2019ll serve you for the rest of your career!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What are Work Habits<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Work habits<\/span> are repetitive actions and activities that you build over time. Once you\u2019ve developed a habit, it will feel like second nature (A.K.A <\/span>not <\/span><\/i>doing the action will feel like more effort than actually doing it)! For instance, some people check emails when they first get to work or make a coffee as soon as they enter the office. Both actions can be considered <\/span>work habits.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The reason it\u2019s so important to forge productive, <\/span>good work habits<\/span> is that it\u2019s <\/span>extremely <\/span><\/i>easy to let bad habits impact your performance. Not all <\/span>work habits<\/span> add value, and we only want to cultivate the ones that do!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Are Your <\/span>Work Habits<\/span> Healthy or Harmful<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

The first step to developing <\/span>good work habits<\/span> is to identify the habits you already have and figure out if they\u2019re helping or harming your performance. It\u2019s easy to turn a blind eye to <\/span>bad work habits<\/span>, but if you want to excel in your field, this isn\u2019t the route to take. Rather, you want to be super self-aware!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
