That\u2019s why more people choose Cochlear than any other hearing implant company.<\/p>\n<p>We have a fantastic opportunity for a recent high school leaver to join the Cochlear team as a<strong>\u00a0Manufacturing Operator<\/strong>\u00a0(<strong>Electronic Assembler).<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Permanent or 12-months fixed term contract<\/li>\n<li>Full time or part time (minimum of 3 set days \/ week)<\/li>\n<li>AM (6am-2pm) or PM (2pm-10pm) shift<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We will provide full training to get you started, and development opportunities to grow in the company.<\/p>\n<p>Electronic Assemblers play a pivotal role in assembling components and sub-assemblies for the Cochlear Implant System, by meeting productivity and quality requirements and working effectively to achieve team business outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>These teams are currently based at Cochlear\u2019s Macquarie University and Lane Cove production facilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What makes this opportunity unique?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No experience needed \u2013 full training will be provided<\/li>\n<li>Flexible work arrangement<\/li>\n<li>Warm and inclusive culture<\/li>\n<li>Great opportunity to progress within manufacturing, or transfer to other departments such as engineering and Maintenance &amp; Calibration<\/li>\n<li>Complement your further education through hands on work experience in a world leading medical device organisation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>key responsibilities<\/strong>\u00a0include:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Perform manufacturing tasks in line with work instructions and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Perform manufacturing tasks in line with the Cochlear Quality Management System<\/li>\n<li>Set up, maintain, operate and monitor production equipment\/machines in line with work instructions, procedures &amp; equipment care sheets<\/li>\n<li>Micro assembly, with the use of a microscope to perform complex operations<\/li>\n<li>Comply with required gowning procedures and work instructions for the purpose of product safety and adhering to Quality Management Systems requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About You<\/strong>. As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you&#8217;ll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:<\/p>\n<p>Essential<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Recent high school leaver<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in both our manufacturing sites: Macquarie University and Lane Cove<\/li>\n<li>Ability to follow processes and written work instructions<\/li>\n<li>Ability to read and write English \u2013 to the level of understanding work instructions, procedures &amp; equipment care sheets<\/li>\n<li>Ability to wear manufacturing garments (for example &#8211;\u00a0mask, hood, gloves, hair net, coverall)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Optional:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Micro assembly skills (using a microscope to perform complex operations)<\/li>\n<li>Soldering experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How we recognise your contribution<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We want Cochlear to be a place where our people truly enjoy coming to work.
