The role is initially focused on providing operational support to the Train Driver in a way that ensures safe and efficient train operation. This includes in accordance with Qube Rail Safety Management Procedures and Systems, the relevant track access provider, regulator and siding owner rules and procedures. Throughout your two years as a Trainee Train Driver you be constantly learning both in and out of the classroom to build skills and knowledge. We are looking to recruit in South East Queensland, Sydney Metro and Regional NSW<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Traineeship<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Qube Certificate IV in Train Driving (TLI42622) traineeship program is delivered in partnership with the Centre for Excellence in Rail Training Pty Ltd (RTO# 51333). This program is delivered and assessed in a combination of both in-class and on-the job environments. Assessments consist of theory, on-the job workbooks and practical observations. This program is delivered in a period of up to 2 years<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is your role as a Trainee Driver?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Commitment &#8211; \u00a0Work with a commitment to safety and demonstrate Qube\u2019s values of Integrity, Reliability and Inclusion Work in collaboration with a Qualified Driver to perform Rail Safety Work in Train Operations<\/p>\n<p>Participation &#8211; Participate in safety meetings training, briefing sessions and toolbox talks associated with safe and efficient train operations<\/p>\n<p>Safety Focused &#8211; Comply with procedures, work instructions, operating protocols and rules in order to facilitate the delivery of safe and efficient train operations<\/p>\n<p>Goal Orientated \u2013 Work towards achieving the Certificate IV in Train Driving (TLI42622)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Type:\u00a0<\/strong>Full time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Locations: <\/strong>Sydney Metro, South East Qld &amp; Regional NSW<\/p>\n<p><strong>About you<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You do not require prior experience in Rail and we will provide full training for successful applicants who possess the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a desire to learn and develop new skills<\/li>\n<li>Be willing and available to work in a dynamic 24\/7 shift work roster<\/li>\n<li>Have a technical or trade background &#8211; preferred but not essential<\/li>\n<li>Hold a Current drivers licence and provide recent drivers licence history<\/li>\n<li>Work collaboratively and harmoniously as a part of a team<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work autonomously using a proactive approach to task resolution, as well as being able to work in effectively in a team environment<\/li>\n<li>Be flexible and adaptable, and be able to work in a safety critical environment<\/li>\n<li>Be able to communicate clearly, concisely and accurately orally and in writing<\/li>\n<li>Have a good general level of health and fitness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Access to QubeCare our employee wellbeing program<\/li>\n<li>Access to our Employee Assistance Program<\/li>\n<li>A commitment to develop you to your full potential including undertaking Nationally recognised Accredited training in Train Driving<\/li>\n<li>Competitive remuneration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Qube recognises the value of an inclusive and diverse work environment.
