Adrian didn’t have everything mapped out when he started at Roll’d.
He simply decided to give it a shot.
Like a lot of first jobs, it started with learning the ropes, getting used to the fast pace, and figuring things out on the fly. But as Adrian settled in, he began picking up more than just the basics. The experience got him thinking about what he might want to do down the track.
Today, Adrian works at Roll’d in Frankston—and if you ask him, the team is what stands out most.
A Day in the Life at Roll’d
Working at Roll’d means you’re always on your feet and always on the move.
Adrian’s shifts are all about serving customers, keeping his station organised, and teaming up with colleagues to keep things running smoothly. Like any hospitality job, it can get hectic—especially during the lunch rush.
But for Adrian, it’s the environment that makes the job special.
“The best thing about working at Roll’d is the experience and skills you gain, as well as the hardworking, passionate team,” he says.
That sense of teamwork becomes even more important when the restaurant is busy.
“Even during a rush, everyone still finds time to check on you and make sure you’re okay, and your station is doing okay,” Adrian says.
Lessons from the Lunch Crowd
One of Adrian’s biggest early challenges was getting used to those intense rush periods.
Fridays and Sundays can be especially busy, and learning how to stay focused and keep up with the pace takes time.
But those busy moments ended up teaching him the most.
“Handling the rush helped me figure out what I really want to do when I grow up,” he says.
“Working at Roll’d has helped me think about my future and what I want to do with my career.”
For a lot of people, a first job is where they start building confidence and figuring out how to handle pressure. Adrian says those moments have helped him grow both personally and professionally.
Teamwork Makes All the Difference
Another thing Adrian loves about Roll’d? The team culture.
New starters get a warm welcome and plenty of support while they learn the ropes. The more experienced team members are always happy to share what they know.
It’s the kind of place where people look out for each other and make sure everyone settles in quickly.
