Getting started somewhere that wants to grow
“Polyaire seemed like a company that was really eager to grow, and that meant there’d be a lot of exciting opportunities for me,” George says. “At this stage of my career, I wanted something where I could see the impact of what I’m doing day to day. Polyaire has been exactly that.”

No such thing as a ‘typical day’
If you ask George what a normal day looks like, he laughs. “I don’t know if there is one,” he says.
His days are spent solving tech issues, supporting teams across the business, and jumping into whatever challenges pop up next. “It’s fast paced and unpredictable, but that’s what makes it fun. You’re constantly learning, and that’s why I love it.”
Learning from people who’ve got your back
“The people here make a huge difference,” George says. “You can always ask questions, and no one makes you feel silly for not knowing something. That kind of support gives you confidence.”
He’s learned that real growth comes from being challenged too. “You get pushed outside your comfort zone, but in the best way. It’s where you pick up new skills and figure out what you’re capable of.”
George’s advice for anyone starting out in tech
“Don’t wait until you feel ready,” he says. “You’ll never know everything from the start, and that’s okay. Just be willing to learn, help out wherever you can, and take something from every challenge.”
That mindset has helped George turn uncertainty into confidence — and build a career that’s only just getting started.
