Pitcher Partners, one of Australia’s leading accounting, audit and advisory firms, are running a free roadshow throughout Brisbane in Term 3. This engaging session introduces students to the reality of working in accounting, with interactive discussions led by practicing accountants. Students will gain insight into what the profession actually involves, challenge the stereotype that it is only about numbers, and hear how accountants contribute across a wide range of industries and organisations.
The presentation is aimed primarily at Year 11–12 students, with Year 10 students also encouraged to attend, particularly those considering subject choices. Students will learn about career pathways into accounting and finance, including recommended school subjects, university study options, and entry routes into the profession. The session will also cover current industry trends, including the impact of AI and why demand for accountants remains strong, along with opportunities available at Pitcher Partners for future school leavers.
