  • Good salary package and numerous benefits
  • Dynamic one-year role
  • Diverse employment opportunities

Your role:

It all starts at the warehouse. As a Warehouse Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for supplying Army units with everything they need, without you the Army wouldn’t be able to move forward.

You’ll see what it’s like to support small teams while on exercise, in barracks or in a battle zone. Your job will include tasks like stores accounting, and handling storage and distribution of a range of vital equipment. We’ll give you the skills to grow and succeed. From the moment you step into the role, you’ll learn the advance logistical skills needed to keep the Army moving. Plus, unlike similar roles, you’ll get to drive off-road forklifts and take on general soldiering duties.

Take on a dynamic 12-month role in the Army and experience what life could be like in the Defence Force. It’s called the ADF Gap Year Program, but it isn’t just reserved for people that are straight out of school. It’s a unique opportunity where you’ll get the chance to try out a year in Defence, learning how to fulfil a logistics role that’s unlike any other. You’ll get paid to travel and gain invaluable life and work experience, while making friendships that could last a lifetime.

If you’re looking to gain experience that could lead to a variety of employment opportunities – then this role could be the right role for you.

Life in the Army Gap Year Program:

Action, adventure, exciting career opportunities and amazing mateship – the Army Gap Year Program is a one-year commitment that takes you out of the office and into barracks, training exercises and the field itself.

There’s also the unique sense of accomplishment and pride that comes from serving your country and providing support to communities in need, both here and overseas. Whether you decide to extend into a longer-term role in the Army, or not, you’ll get the chance to see if it’s a good fit for you.

Along with the highly purposeful work, you’ll be working in a supportive environment alongside highly skilled professionals to help guide you throughout the whole program.

Salary:

During your 12-month role and on completion of training, you will receive a salary package starting from $63,015.
In addition to your salary, you will receive generous superannuation, housing subsidies and free medical and dental care.
