Your role:

During your Navy Gap Year you will learn about the critical role of managing and supporting Navy operations. Shadowing a qualified Maritime Logistics Officer you will observe and assist in keeping a Navy ship or shore base fully equipped, resourced, provisioned and operating at the highest level of readiness. That includes the provisioning of spare parts for maintenance, port visit planning and replenishment, catering and hospitality services, personnel management, as well as financial and business responsibilities.  This role offers huge variety, as does the Navy lifestyle providing many travel and training opportunities.

This action-packed role isn’t just reserved for people that are straight out of school. It’s a unique opportunity where you’ll get the chance to try out a year in Navy working alongside fully qualified Maritime Logistics Officers, all without needing any prior qualifications. Salary:

During your 12-month role, you’ll receive a salary package starting from $33,126.

In addition to your salary, you will receive generous superannuation, housing subsidies, free medical and dental care, service and uniform allowances, as well as a Maritime Allowance (if applicable).

For this role, you must have completed Year 12 level of secondary education (or equivalent) to Officer Entry standard and achieved an ATAR which would qualify you for entry into a degree at UNSW/ADFA that is aligned to a relevant engineering pathway.
