Introduction
IBM is the world’s largest business consulting, technology and services company. Completing an Internship at IBM will give you practical, on-the-job experience. You get great exposure to a global corporate environment working in a team of friendly professionals. IBM has an Australian wide Intern Network that provides opportunities to network, meet executives and participate in social events.

Internships are 12 months in tenure and will commence immediately.
Students must be able to work full time – Monday to Friday.

Your Role and Responsibilities

To be successful in securing an internship at IBM you will be an IT or Computer Science student who has a hunger to learn and thrives on helping others.You will utilise your technical and interpersonal skills to support and service a range of stakeholders, including senior executives, partners and consulting professionals.

This is a great opportunity for you to further develop your technical skills in either the hardware or software and development space.

Some of the responsibilities you will have:

Laptop and desktop set-ups
Data Transfer
Laptops repairs; troubleshooting problems
Hardware installation (Lenovos/Toshiba); Software Installation
Fixing compliance issues
Disposal of assets
Raising Hardware issues
Batch scripting, to keep the installs drive up to date

Skills/Knowledge Preferred:

Java
Familiarity with Mac would be helpful
Understanding of computer hardware components for repair analysis
Team Player
Knowledge in Power Point
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Willingness to learn
Problem Solving

Duration:

12 months.

To be eligible to apply:

You will be enrolled in a relevant IT, Computer Science or Software Engineering tertiary degree at a University in Australia.
