2021 IBM Strategy, Communications & Marketing Intern – Sydney

Your Role and Responsibilities
Helping to define and drive the Communications Strategy for the GBS MP to engage the diverse population that is GBS to ensure that all GBS’ers have the information that they need when they need it, feel included, heard and appreciated. How do we measure effectiveness?

Help drive engagement and culture programs.

Help formulate better knowledge sharing, perhaps have a slack channel for Q’s and a BOT written for some of the simple things.

Weekly Zest newsletter drafting & publication.
Editing and distribution of newsletters and other forms of communications. Seeking engaging content, that recognises the achievements of the various teams, and helps spread the word of our strategy and achievements. Help in crystallising and refining the GBS ANZ Strategy going forward, and ensuring that it is accepted and understood by all.

Drafting communications, template development, mailing list maintenance, setup for events,

All Hands setup, drafting of materials, room setup and recording,

Managing SLACK Workspace/Channels.

Managing Publisher Sites for GBS ANZ Playbook and Sales, Solution & Delivery.

Promote socially savvy social media for all GBS A/NZ. Assist in the Linkedin/Twitter posting for GBS ANZ Alumni Group, and Managing Partner

Assist in the planning and running of the Partner/Associate Partner Event planned for 20/21 May 2021. This will include idea & agenda preparation, logistics of the event to ensure that it runs smoothly and is of maximum benefit to ensure its engaging and inspiring to all participants that attend, yet achieves learning outcomes.

Help manage the Alumni program, as a way of engaging pipeline to return to IBM and life brand in market for ex-IBMers to continue to connect.

Distribution of materials, maintenance of screens on floors, assistance with duties in Culture and engagement initiatives and projects. (When back in Office)

TBC – For Marketing, helping define the strategy and lead ongoing relationships with our Board Program with industry associations (Trans-Tasman Business Circle, AiiA, etc.), managing the communications to our leadership and client teams to ensure we take advantage of our benefits of the program, organising and managing events. For IBM-bespoke events such as Think and sponsored events, supporting the events team in securing and managing speakers and content, gathering content for booths, providing onsite execution. Additionally, supporting strategic programs such as the Account Based Marketing program, which is critical in growing our business in ANZ.

Area of Study Preferred:
-Human Resources/Business/ Marketing/ Economics/Commerce
To be eligible to apply:
– You will be enrolled in a relevant degree at a University in Australia (undergrad/Master’s level)
– You will be a strong academic performer with a minimum of a credit average
– You will have no more than 2 years full-time relevant work experience
