The organisation’s vision is connecting communities through a modern, world-class rail service. We are looking for an Administration Officer to join our Catering and Southeast Queensland Operations team. In this role you will report directly and provide support to the Operation Manager Southeast Queensland where you will be responsible for providing a wide range of administrative support services.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity which is based in the office at the Roma Street station however there is flexibility to choose the hours you work within core business hours. As an Administration Officer you will work autonomously, and this role will suit a self-motivated individual who is able to work in a fast-paced environment to manage multiple priorities at once. In addition to this you will have outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

About the role:
•    Provide a wide range of administrative support to the unit as required including:
–    e-mail correspondence
–    word processing, presentation preparation and spreadsheeting
–    diary management and schedules
–    ordering and completing stocktakes
–    document management and archiving
–    minute taking
–    general receptionist duties
•    Coordinate meetings and/or conferences
•    Contractor management – inductions
•    SAP input – payment of invoices, credit card reconciliations, goods receipting
•    Communicate effectively with management, staff, suppliers and customers

About you:
•    Previous experience in providing administrative services and support
•    Substantial level of organisational skills
•    Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (spreadsheeting and using basic formulas) and PowerPoint
•    Substantial level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
•    Substantial level of skill in working in a team environment and with minimal supervision
•    Previous experience using a records information management system (e.g. TRIM) or SAP is highly desirable
