What we’re offering
- Learning and assisting within a small kitchen team under the guidance of an experienced Executive Chef.
- Fully paid training at Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) to obtain your Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
- Monday to Friday roster, 6am – 2pm with the occasional evening shift (1pm-9pm). 1 day per week will be at CIT for training and hours will be advised by CIT.
- Opportunity and career growth within Australia’s largest hospitality provider.
- Paid hourly under the Hospitality Industry Award (HIG).
A bit about you
- We’d expect you to have a genuine interest in all things culinary and take a genuine interest in food preparation.
- You can work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- You are reliable, hardworking, resilient and follow instructions
- You have the capacity & willingness to commit to additional study outside of work hours.
- Some experience with food handling and safety knowledge would be an advantage.
- Must be an Australian Citizen due to client site access requirements and will need to pass an Australian Federal Police background check.
