About this Role
Latrobe City Council is offering an excellent opportunity for someone to join our Garden, Landscaping and Wetlands Team as an Apprentice Gardener.
- Permanent Full Time Position
- Salary: $17.22
- Department: City Presentation
In this role you will assist in garden and landscaping maintenance across the Latrobe City community while you study and work towards gaining your Certificate III in Horticulture.
Some of your duties will include:
- Learning horticulture maintenance and plant care, including pest control and the use of required tools and equipment.
- Working as part of a team to perform specialised maintenance and construction activities on Council assets and infrastructure.
- Participation in the Latrobe City Council VIP performance development and assessment process.
About You
As Apprentice Gardener you will have the fantastic opportunity to learn and develop your horticultural skills and knowledge with hands-on training and guided support from your team as you complete your studies.
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Eligibility to undertake a Certificate III in Horticulture.
- Commitment, initiative and enthusiasm for the role, including an interest in Horticulture.
- Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work productively as a member of team and contribute to team goals.
