Get your Mechanical apprenticeship with a world-leading company at BP’s Kwinana Refinery

bp will be launching a recruitment campaign on Monday 27 July 2020 to find 2 capable and enthusiastic Apprentices to join the team, commencing mid-January 2021.

As the largest refinery in Australia – and one of the most modern in the southern hemisphere – it’s an exciting place to learn a trade from experienced professionals. Our apprenticeships last four years and involve a mix of studying at TAFE and supervised on-the-job training with our qualified tradespeople. You’ll be based in our refinery maintenance department, helping the team make sure that Kwinana’s plant and equipment are safe, reliable and in working order. You will also be expected to learn and meet health and safety standards on site.

Required:

  • An Australian/NZ citizen or resident
  • Studying in Year 11 or above OR at TAFE
  • Mathematics & English subjects
  • Strong academic record

The roles will be advertised on Monday 27th of July and close at 5PM on Friday 14th of August 2020.

Applications will be reviewed as they come in so make your application as early as possible. Once you’ve made your application – the process will be testing, a video interview and (if successful) an invite to our Assessment Centre held early September 2020.

“Refinery apprentices are a proud tradition at the Refinery. Our tradespeople are highly skilled and qualified, and they love to help our enthusiastic and talented apprentices build their capability across a wide range of equipment as well as broad industry knowledge. Many of our past apprentices have secured much sought-after positions at bp and other great companies, as they are highly regarded in the industry. bp Kwinana also benefits by having fresh ideas and talent in our teams through the apprentices. Joining bp is a great way to start or continue your career and will have you developing alongside some of the best tradespeople in a dynamic and challenging environment.”
