Cadet Drafter – Electrical & Instrumentation

We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Engineering (E & I Drafting) Cadet to join our Infrastructure Engineering team based in Melbourne on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Team Leader Electrical &Instrumentation (E&I) Drafting, you will be assisting the E&I drafting team and the broader Engineering Design Office (EDO) team, in the delivery of both project and Stay In Business (SIB) work while completing their tertiary education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the creation of engineering drawings and models using design tools in the Engineering Design Office
• Assisting in the maintenance of the internal engineering records in Vault and other document storage systems
• Assisting in creating catalogue items and standard blocks for various CAD & Data base packages
• Attending university and completing the required coursework to achieve graduation
• To develop the skills knowledge and capabilities to become a fully capable drafter, able to independently undertake the full range of tasks required of a member of the drafting team

About You:

• Successfully completed year 12
• Eligible to enrol in either an Associate Diploma or Associate Degree of Electrical Engineering at a local institution of tertiary education. Familiarity with CAD products such as AutoCAD
• Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite of products
• Fast learner
• Eager to accept new challenges
• Able to work independently
