Your new role awaits:
Drivers play a crucial role within Coates, ensuring the safe delivery of goods and equipment across the country. But driving is only a part of the role. As the market leader in equipment hire drivers are the face of the business, they are problem solvers, load restraint experts and emotionally intelligent logistics professionals.
Representing Coates at the coal face requires exceptional customer service and professionalism, as well as working to tight deadlines and ensuring and maintaining a high standard of safety. Drivers at Coates are well trained, values driven experts in their field, who have access to some of the latest technologies available in the transport sector.
This role, based out of our Brooklyn Branch, is often the face of Coates and requires exceptional customer service and professionalism, as well as working to tight deadlines and ensuring and maintaining a high standard of safety.
- Safe, professional and timely delivery/pick up of equipment to and from various site locations.
- Effectively secure freight load to ensure successful delivery
- Maintain knowledge of equipment storage and location to ensure efficient retrieval.
- Operate and manoeuvre equipment on and off a tilt tray. eg boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts
- Perform general yard duties ensuring an organised and safe yard
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with colleagues and customers
About you:
Alongside a positive and flexible attitude, you enjoy working in a team and have a customer focused approach to your work. You will also have:
- A valid heavy vehicle driver’s license. (EWP and Tilt tray licences are highly regarded)
- Experience loading and unloading equipment using correct restraint
- A clean driving record and a commitment to the importance of safety – you are an expert on the chain of responsibility.
- Proven customer service skills
- Basic technology skills
