About the team
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.
What’s on offer?
- 4 year Electrical Trade Apprenticeship
- Complete a structured training program and a Certificate III in Electro technology through TAFE whilst working and earning a full time wage
- Experience installing, testing and repairing electrical systems, working on live projects and signals across regional NSW
- Use powered tools, hand tools and other equipment as required to prepare electrical and maintenance projects
- Opportunity to experience working on different sites and Transport locations
About you
- You have a great attitude and the ability to learn quickly by following instructions.
- Willing to undertake work in environments including heights, confined spaces and within high traffic conditions
- You must be willing to undertake Capstone Assessment and submit Eprofiling as part of the program
- You have completed Year 10 or hold a Record of School Achievement (RoSA) or equivalent
- You have demonstrated basic computer literacy
- You hold a white card or is willing to get one
- You possess or are in the process of obtaining an Australian motor vehicle drivers licence
- You are willing to work outside regular working hours if required, as directed by your manager (night work & weekends)
- You are an Australian/NZ citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident
- You are able to commence full time employment in January 2023
- You will have reliable transport to travel to the office

Wage
You will be paid based on your age (under 21 vs adult over 21) as per the TfNSW Award. Please see details below of the wage guide:
Electrical Apprentice
- Apprentice: 1st Year – $572.90/week ($15.0763/hour)
- Apprentice: Adult – $1072.40/week ($28.2211/hour)
