About the role:
‘Benella’ (adjacent to Nairne, South Australia) is an idyllic Adelaide Hills farm located just 38km from the heart of Adelaide’s CBD. Following growth in our rural operations, Benella have created a role for a Farm Hand to assist with daily farm operations. You will have the opportunity to join the team and learn the skills to have a great career in agriculture.
If you have a positive attitude, like working outdoors, and have an interest in agriculture, this may be the role for you. On the farm you will get to experience working with cattle, sheep, modern farm equipment, and learn from experienced leaders. We are a flexible business, with the role open to permanent full time or part-time for the right candidate. We highly encourage recently graduated school students and university post and undergraduates to apply, with the successful candidate having long term career possibilities within the TFI network.
You will be working in one of the most picturesque areas of the Adelaide hills, within close reach to Mount Barker and Stirling.

Property:
- 1,000 acres with 100 acres of hard-hose irrigation
- Running approximately 200 head of Angus & Speckle Park breeders, 500 Composite breeding ewes plus extensive lamb fattening program supplemented by irrigation and feed.
- Focusing on modern farming techniques
- Up to date sheep and cattle handling facilities
- EU accredited and full NLIS traceability across sheep and cattle
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily farming operations to meet production goals and targets
- Involved in calving/lambing/marking/weaning
- Assist with the implementation and execution of irrigation and nutritional programs
Selection Criteria:
- No pre-requisite required.
- Whilst not essential, previous experience working with one or all of cattle, sheep and tractor is welcomed.
Qualifications:
- Current drivers licence – desirable LR or willingness to obtain

- Use of a vehicle on a farm
