About the role
As part of your role as franchise development manager, you will have the chance to make a real difference to the brand and its franchise partners. You will be responsible for driving sales, transaction, and compliance of underperforming restaurants within our franchise network. Partnering with Franchisees you will Provide ongoing and comprehensive support, guidance and coaching to help them achieve brand standards, lift performance, and reach expected business and profitability goals.
  
  
Key Activities Include:
Supporting Restaurant Performance

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of underperforming restaurants to identify areas of improvement.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to determine factors driving restaurant performance.
  • Provide guidance and support to address any challenges or obstacles highlighted and identified by quests through VOC and other feedback platforms.
  • Partner with franchisees to tailored improvement strategies for underperforming restaurants including identifying sales opportunities, operations enhancements and compliance and equipment improvements to drive business growth.
  • Monitor and provide ongoing business support to franchisees to implement performance improvements and provide performance evaluations against established benchmarks.
  • Initiate open communications with franchisee around restaurant performance.
  • Encourage and facilitate franchisees in brand activities and initiatives.

  
Champion meaningful change and continuous improvement

  • Document and share lessons learned from underperforming restaurants to inform future decision making and improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal cross functional teams including legal team to ensure processes when plans for improvement fail to ensure alternative plans meet contractual and legal obligations. Share key learnings with from both failed and successful plans for continuous performance and process improvement.
  • Regularly communicate and report on performance progress, continuous improvement initiatives, highlighting achievements, challenges, and further developments to head of operations and Oporto leadership team.
  • Identify areas of opportunity related to Oporto standards compliance, including, training and business operations.

  
About You
Essential 

  • Strong operational experience in QSR (Quick Service Restaurants) or related industries.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and familiarity with business reporting (I.E P&L, Voice of Customer etc.)
  • Experience in creating and utilizing complex reporting to draw out insights.
  • Demonstrated experience in partnering with Franchisees with a hands-on approach to coaching and development.
  • Enthusiasm and drive to champion the brand and take a franchisee along the journey to success.

  
Desirable

  • Previous experience in multisite management highly desirable.
  • Experience with Restaurant operational systems such as Macromatix and World Manager.
