The Opportunity
Reporting to the Operations Manager, we are currently looking to fill the role of Glass Production Worker based at our Albury site. We’re a highly experienced team and we’re looking for a motivated, energetic and curious person to learn about our unique industry from the ground up. We’ll provide the training if you bring your enthusiasm for learning. This role is based on day shift – Monday to Friday, 7am – 3:30pm.
Responsibilities may include the following, but full training provided:
- Glass Handling – manual and overhead crane operation
- Measuring and marking glass for cutting
- Using an overhead crane for relocating glass
- Sorting and packaging Glass products ready for distribution
- Assisting and supporting the despatch area, including;
- Loading and unloading glass products from trucks
- Unpacking of glass products and stock movement around the factory
- Reading loading manifests
- Schedule site deliveries
- Sorting and packaging Glass products ready for distribution
- General housekeeping
- Maintain a safe working environment
Our ideal candidate
- Previous experience in a manufacturing/production environment would be helpful but not essential
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Quality focused and driven with a high attention to detail
- Safety conscious, ensuring a safe work environment
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn and a team player
