Have you recently completed an Engineering degree or are finishing this year? Transport is looking for aspiring Graduates to help us deliver the largest Transport infrastructure program in Australia’s history. This is your opportunity to live and work in the South West Region of Regional New South Wales.

Why Transport for NSW?

Think of Transport as a hybrid motor vehicle. We are reliable, valuable and for the community. These Government principles are deep-rooted in how we work. Outside, there’s a lot of cool stuff happening – projects, technology and programs that are constantly pushing the boundaries.

We are currently delivering the largest Transport infrastructure program in Australia’s history. This means more opportunities than ever before across the state.

If you’re curious about more than one career path, this might just be the place for you.

Working with Transport could see you upgrading our road network on the Pacific Highway from Woolgoolga to Ballina to bring commuters home to their loved ones safely. You could consult on plans for the new Western Sydney Aerotropolis to design our future cities. You might work with big data and inform future network upgrades. Or build game-changing projects with the Parramatta Light Rail and Regional Rail and enable better connected cities. Design development and learning programs for our people and help shape their careers.

Maybe you just want a job, but we can offer you so much more.

As a Transport Grad you will…

  • Be challenged with real work from day one
  • Work directly with industry leading experts
  • Grow with ambitious, driven and passionate graduates just like you!

What’s on offer?

  • Permanent employment
  • 18 month Graduate Development Program including both professional and personal learning & support
  • Work on real projects with cutting-edge technology while learning from industry experts from day one
  • Build your network with like-minded graduates and be part of the Young Professionals Network (YPN) – networking and special monthly events
  • Two-year full-time program which consists of four six-month rotations across the Transport cluster and surrounding locations in your regional headquarter location.
  • Competitive salary package from $73,952 PLUS superannuation and benefits
  • Flexible work options and hours

This role may undertake placements across the Northern region. The Northern region is headquartered in Grafton and includes surrounding suburbs such as Port Macquarie, Tamworth, Ballina & surrounding areas.

Engineering and related disciplines include:

  • Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Environmental Science
  • Geotechnical Engineering

About you:

  • You’re an Australian/NZ citizen or Australian Permanent Resident
  • You’ve completed your undergraduate engineering or related degree after December 2018, or will have completed your degree before December 2020
