WITRON Service Australia are excited to be opening their second Australian site at Kemps Creek, NSW in early 2024. With construction well underway, we are now seeking experienced, passionate and energetic individuals to join our team as Maintenance Technicians on a full-time basis. You’ll be joining our brand-new site team, the opportunities for motivated employees are unlimited!
Our ideal candidate
- A genuine interest in automation and technology, with the aptitude to learn new concepts and procedures
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, ideally trade qualified preferred, not required
- Disconnect Reconnect (Qualified Supervisor Certificate) also desired
- Meets the physical requirements including:
- Frequent walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing for long periods of time
- Working at heights of up to 30 metres (wearing fall-arrest gear and other PPE)
- Lifting, pulling and pushing up to 25kgs unassisted
- Ability to travel interstate or international for training
Your role in our team
Working as part of a cross functional team you’ll primarily support daily operations by resolving system faults of both technical and operational nature to maximize system performance. On any given day this may include:
- Monitoring, operation, fault correction, and housekeeping of automated material handling equipment in a fast-paced production environment
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and computer systems issues and escalate as appropriate
- Coach and mentor the production team to increase their knowledge
- Effective execution of all maintenance related activities
- Investigate and resolve system material flow issues
- Facilitate continuous improvement activities through broad system knowledge and site-specific enhancements
- Travel up to our operating Brisbane facility in the future for on the job training – all expenses paid with a daily travel allowance
