Your new role awaits…
Coates Cannington and Midland branches are looking for a couple of Mechanical Trades Assistants to join our team.
The role is responsible for the inspection and reporting of equipment damage, and ensuring equipment is ready, fit for purpose, and safe for hire.
You’ll also help out in the office with some general admin and occasionally cover the front desk to handle walk-in customer enquiries.
A typical day…
- Perform basic equipment operational checks
- Minor repairs and adjustments and the use of test instruments
- Assist in keeping workshop clean, tidy, and safe
- Loading and unloading equipment for customers
- Assisting mechanics/electricians with major repairs
- Providing customer service and admin support in the office
* Please note that the Midland position will be based at Coates Osborne Park branch for the first 6 months for training.
What you’ll bring to the role
Mechanical trade qualification isn’t required, however, previous experience servicing vehicles, engines, small plant, landscaping equipment or similar will be beneficial for this role.
- Drivers Licence – essential
- Forklift – desirable
- Mechanically minded
- Keen sense of attention to detail
- Computer literate
- Be physically fit
