This role can be based in our Sydney CBD office or Parramatta office, depending on your location.

About the role

The Member Growth Consultant works within the Membership Growth and Retention team, reporting to the Membership Growth and Retention Manager. The position is responsible for assisting converting membership leads into sales through outbound call work. The position also acts as the first point of contact for membership queries through the contact centre (inbound calls).

Under the guidance of the Membership Growth and Retention Manager, this position is responsible for:

  • Contacting and assisting potential members that have expressed interest in rt health fund through the Key Account Manager and Member Care team
  • Converting enquires into membership sales
  • Maintaining contact information in the CRM database
  • Dealing with correspondence in a timely and accurate manner
  • Providing a high level of professional customer service
  • Undertaking training, development and multi-skilling as requested
  • Ensuring knowledge is maintained in all aspects of health insurance legislation to ensure you comply with the industry “code of conduct”
  • Liaising with other team members to ensure member enquiries are resolved
  • Ensuring that the fund is represented with the utmost professionalism and that exceptional service is provided to all key contacts and members of those groups
  • Achieving Membership Growth targets as per KPI’s (Including productivity, conversion and sales)
  • The Member Growth Consultant will work toward weekly, and month join targets
  • Other duties as requested by the Manager Membership Growth and Retention

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a sales position
  • Ability to explain a sales process
  • Work between both our offices in Sydney CBD or Parramatta
  • Hunter mindset
  • Ability to self – evaluate and take on constructive feedback
  • High-level service and sales skills
  • High level customer service and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated creativity, initiative, and reliability
  • Proactive, positive, and enthusiastic nature.
  • Computer literacy, PC skills and ability to use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Health insurance knowledge and experience is desirable, but not essential
