About the opportunity

Join our dynamic team at Uniting Communities Directorate and take the lead in delivering impactful outcomes across a diverse range of high-quality programs throughout Western NSW. Based in Dubbo, NSW, this permanent full-time position offers a unique opportunity to drive positive change as we deliver our 10-year strategy to grow our impact and disrupt entrenched disadvantage.

As a pivotal member of our senior leadership team, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of contracted outcomes, while championing a culture of excellence and quality. Your role will involve overseeing program operations, strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting, all with a focus on meeting funding requirements and exceeding stakeholder expectations.

About You in the role

As the ideal candidate, you’ll hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and possess proven financial and program management skills.

Your ability to lead, motivate, and inspire teams, coupled with your cultural sensitivity, will be essential in driving meaningful change.

Additionally, your experience in establishing strategic partnerships and engaging with external stakeholders will be invaluable in supporting our ongoing efforts to deliver culturally appropriate services, particularly for First Nations people. TQ3: Describe a time when your cultural competency enabled you to lead First Nations team members to achieve program goals.


First Nations children and families are overrepresented in the child protection system and our services in Western NSW.  Appropriate cultural knowledge and understanding is important to deliver effectively in this role.  This is a targeted position and applications from First Nations people are encouraged.
