Calling all heavy plant operators! If you have heavy plant mobile experience and are passionate about working in an industry where you can help look after natural resource assets through conservation initiatives and like-minded people, then we want to hear from you!
Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services have an exciting opportunity for an individual to become a Ranger within their Lake Eacham team, assisting in the Heavy Plant unit to maintain and operate a variety of heavy plant across the Northern Region and Cape York.
This role includes construction and or maintaining roads, tracks, fire lines, fence lines, airstrips, camp grounds, day use areas and transporting of goods/materials, as well as general estate duties.
As most of our Parks are in remote locations, camping on the job is a large part of this role. Accommodation can vary from barracks at Ranger bases to tarps under the stars.
The roster is generally 10 days on and four days off. This roster can be flexible and is reliant on project milestones, restraints, and locations. This role involves working in a team environment, and flexibility is an important consideration.
