We now have an exciting opportunity available to train someone to join our Infrastructure Engineering team based in Melbourne on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Team Leader Electrical &Instrumentation (E&I) Drafting, you will be assisting the E&I drafting team and the broader Engineering Design Office (EDO) team, in the delivery of both project and Stay In Business (SIB) work while completing their tertiary education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the creation of engineering drawings and models using design tools in the Engineering Design Office
- Assisting in the maintenance of the internal engineering records in Vault and other document storage systems
- Assisting in creating catalogue items and standard blocks for various CAD & Data base packages
- Attending university and completing the required coursework to achieve graduation
- To develop the skills knowledge and capabilities to become a fully capable drafter, able to independently undertake the full range of tasks required of a member of the drafting team
About You:
- Willingness and aptitude to learn/develop electrical design, drafting and coding skills
- Be eligible to enrol in an Associate Diploma of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (successfully completed year 12)
- Familiarity with CAD Drafting software packages (e.g. AutoCAD / MicroStation)
- Interest in 3D Modelling design tools and packages
- Basic understanding of data management, and digital information
