As a Trainee Optical Dispenser, you will be working closely with Optometrists and experienced Dispensers. You will assist patients with the selection of their frames, interpret optical prescriptions, provide excellent customer service and general practice administration duties to ensure the very best patient experience. This role is ideal if you are passionate about eyewear fashion and enjoy working with people in a busy environment.
This is a permanent, full time role, based at our Parramatta Eyecare Centre. You will work an 11 day fortnight.
The Eyecare Centre is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm and Saturday from 9am to 3:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret optical prescriptions
- Provide personalised fashion and practical advice to assist customers in selecting frames
- Patient care management
- Assisting on reception, when required
- Keeping patient records up to date
- Study at TAFE part-time whilst training
About You
You will have a passion for helping others and a willingness to learn. You will have a strong work ethic and be able to build rapport with customers.
- experience within a sales or customer facing role
- excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a team environment
- completed HSC and interested in studying the Optical Dispenser course at TAFE
- a passion for fashion and optometry
- brings a positive attitude and pro-active approach to work.
