Community
We believe in the power of people helping people to achieve their dreams. Giving back to our community is a big part of who we are. Every year our people get involved in amazing initiatives which include:
- Financial support: We support important causes, and our amazing people contribute too.
- Raising awareness: We make sure people know about important issues, and we share our knowledge and time by volunteering.
- Pro- and low-bono work: We offer our expertise free or at reduced rates to organisations that need our help.
- Not-for-profit board positions: Some of our people serve on the boards of organisations to help them succeed.
And here’s something cool: As part of our benefits, we give our employees one day of paid leave to volunteer in the community. Here are some of the amazing organisations and initiatives our people have been a part of:
- Save the Children: Since 2017, we’ve been proudly supporting Save the Children. This year, we raised over $3,000 to help children through the Cubbies Program and provide vital supplies for kids caught in the conflict in Ukraine.
- Cancer Council: Our offices take part in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea events to raise both funds and awareness, helping in the fight against cancer.
- Breast Cancer Network Australia: We hosted morning teas and provided setup and fundraising support at the Pink Lady Field of Women event held at the MCG.
- Starlight Foundation: Our Clients & Markets team took on a challenge, putting together gift boxes for children and teens in the hospital, spreading joy and smiles.
- Lifeline and Black Dog Institute: We raised an impressive $64,000 for these two charities through our inaugural Gala Ball.
- St Vincent de Paul Society: For the eighth time, we participated in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, with our Partners Anthony Whyte and Sally Preston representing BDO last year. We also matched donations made on Vinnies Giving Day in 2022.
