Uncommon Care
Uncommon Care just makes common sense to us. It’s at the heart of who we are and what we do. Being not for profit means we behave differently to the other health funds. We put people before profit and are committed to delivering care and support for our members throughout their life’s journey. We’ll be there when they need us most
Our vision
We want to satisfy the needs of Australians by making health care understandable, affordable, high quality and customer-centric.
Our mission
Our mission is to be the partner of choice in enabling people to care for their health.
Our values
We live and breathe our values of customer focus, integrity, personal accountability, innovation and strong teamwork. These values inspire us towards continuous improvement and the empowerment of our people.
At HCF our values are the way we do things and create the right culture to help us realise our purpose – to bring our human touch to healthcare.
These are the values that guide the way we work, the decisions we make and how we interact with the world around us.
Step Forward
we step forward when we see a need to be met, a problem to be solved, a wrong to be righted.
Walk in their Shoes
We understand the needs and perspectives of others and see the world through their eyes.
Stay Human
We look for the human in each other and use that to guide what we do and how we do it. We show up with authenticity and acceptance, knowing that we’re at our best when we’re our true selves.
Make it Better
We look at things with fresh eyes and ask “how can I make it better?” We are open, creative and resourceful in how we approach problem-solving – we hack the problem and solution.
Get there Together
We believe in the power of one team. Together we can achieve our collective goals, more than any one of us can alone
We care about your health
As a health organisation, we deeply care about the well-being of our people and have a range of initiatives that we’re really proud of. Programs like Victor Chang Heart Health Check Booths and Healthy Weight for Life empower Australians to live healthier lives. We also contribute to long-term developments in the health sector by providing over $19.7 million towards our HCF Research Foundation and supporting health tech start-ups through our HCF Catalyst Program.
