It’s not just all hard work; there is quite a bit of fun to have in the work as well. My name is Will, I work at Bandag Waco, and I’m an apprentice fitter in town.
I came to work at Bandag through my brother-in-law, who works in Waco as a production worker. It’s not just all hard work; there is quite a bit of fun to have in the work as well.
My favourite aspect is doing the work that I do because I really enjoy it. I’m an apprentice sitting in 10. I really enjoy machining, fabricating, and doing breakdowns and maintenance.
Some more highlights are just the ability to enjoy my job every day. If I could get back to my high school self, I would tell them to become a fitter and turn on earlier.
