One of their newest partnerships with CathWest Innovation College has seen a whole new cohort of trainees successfully gain work experience and qualifications – all while being paid!

Why School-Based Traineeships?
Students learn a range of excellent skills while studying, working and earning.
It all starts with a dedicated work experience program that allows students to immerse themselves in the work environment at Jaybro and better understand what the work involves and what they could do.
In Years 11 and 12, students have the exciting opportunity to undertake a traineeship in a focused area that aligns with their interests and skills.
What Do the Trainees Do?
Cleo Brennen joined Jaybro as a graphic design trainee in June 2021, and it was the perfect opportunity for her to pursue her dream of becoming a graphic designer.
“Being able to start my career while still in school has really set me up for success,” Cleo explains. “Being a graphic has been my dream job, and with this traineeship, it’s no longer a dream – it’s my reality!”
Mason Jasmin joined as a Junior IT trainee and has found that the flexibility to study, work, and develop as a young professional has been invaluable for him to start his career.
“I really wanted the best of both worlds – studying in the workplace and studying online,” says Mason.
“We have a saying at Jaybro Group – ‘We grow together’. As our business grows, we want our people to grow together,” says Alison Passey, Group Human Resources manager. “Traineeships are a great way to bring talent into the business. We offer traineeships in warehousing, logistics, IT and graphic design.”
