Community Comes First at Elders

When we first start our careers and join a company, there are lots of things we look out for and prioritise:

  • The salary and benefits
  • The job title
  • The location
  • Opportunities for training and growth

These are all important – but the more you work for a company, the more you realise there are lots of other things that matter too. Like being able to give back to our communities and support others in positive ways.

It’s why we’re always looking for employers who can tick ALL the boxes regarding the important stuff like salaries and benefits – and the feel-good stuff like community support.

Elders is one of our employer partners who definitely achieves this!

Who are Elders?

For over 180 years, Elders has been a leading agribusiness for Australian agriculture and an iconic brand throughout Australia.

Combining their extensive agribusiness knowledge and technical expertise, Elders creates specialised services tailor-made to meet the needs of their clients.

Their links to markets, production expertise, national network and access to leading farm supply brands mean they work hard to deliver the best solutions that achieve real results.

Putting Community First

Elders is an integral part of the Australian agricultural community, and their links to the community go beyond being your rural products supplier.

Their community partnerships range from national industry associations and not-for-profit charities to local schools and community groups. Elders partner with industry across a range of sponsorships, including:

To name a few! In the past financial year alone, Elders has donated over $2.69 million to help over 1000 organisations across Australia.

At the end of last year, Elders also funded the new Buy From The Bush space at The Exchange in Dubbo. Identified as the “marketplace for Australian bush businesses” by founder Grace Brennan, Buy From The Bush began as an Instagram account showcasing beautiful products from communities and families facing drought.

The physical shop space helped the business grow and supported trade at one of the most crucial retail times of the year – Christmas!

Supporting rural and regional communities has always been – and continues to be – at the heart of Elders company ethos.
