CA Pride Member Committee connects LGBTIQA+ members from around the world and advocates positive change for queer inclusion at CA ANZ. They revise member engagement processes, advocate best practice inclusion and provide LGBTIQA+ perspectives on technical and non-technical matters.
As the professional body for the accounting profession, we support firms and organisations with advancing inclusion, such as how to implement real and meaningful LGBTIQA+ policies and practices, and advocate the experiences of LGBTIQA+ members through our biennial Inclusion & Diversity member survey. Where should I start my inclusive CA Career?
If you’re considering which employer you’d like to commence your Chartered Accounting journey with, you can look for those who have partnerships or recognition from leading LGBTIQA+ organisations.
In Aotearoa New Zealand, this may be organisations endorsed by Toitū Takatāpui / Rainbow Tick. These are employers formally recognised as having an ongoing commitment to creating safe and welcoming workplaces for rainbow employees.
In Australia, this may be organisations who have membership of Pride in Diversity and/or who participate in the Australia Workplace Equality Index (AWEI), the definitive national benchmark on LGBTIQA+ workplace inclusion. AWEI honours Australia’s most rainbow inclusive employers through their annual awards.
