In 2017, JD Sports first launched within the Australian market and has since expanded to 60+ stores. We currently operate in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia & Tasmania, with plans for continued future growth. How to nail your CV

  • Highlight your relevant job history and specific examples tailored to the role you’re applying for, matching experiences to the job description
  • List key skills relevant to the job and emphasise quantifiable achievements.
  • Personalise your CV for each application, aligning it with the company’s values and culture
  • Ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date, and proofread for any spelling or grammar errors
  • Include clear and concise career goals that are pertinent to the role
  • Use uniform formatting and a clear structure, being concise and straight forward
  • Maintain a professional and positive tone, ensuring your CV is clean and easy to read

How to write a CV if you have little to no work experience?

That’s okay! Make sure your ‘Summary’ or ‘About Me’ section of your CV highlights your enthusiasm for working with JD Sports. Focus on your transferable skills, personal attributes, and relevant experiences (like volunteering, school projects, or extracurricular activities) that demonstrate your capability for the role.

The JD Talent team will conduct two-hour interactive workshops, targeted toward select year 11 & 12 students, covering a range of topics including career opportunities within our business, CV writing skills, interview tips and tricks, and strategies for showcasing your skill-set during the recruitment process, especially if you have little to no working experience.

Following these workshops, students will have an opportunity to apply for retail opportunities with JD Sports and attend a group interview.
