Leave Entitlements
Volunteer Leave:
One day of paid leave granted to participate in approved formal volunteering activity, through supporting registered charities, not-for-profit organisations and community based organisations, during a time that an employee would otherwise be rostered at work.
Purchasable Annual Leave:
Eligible Miele employees have the option of purchasing annual leave over and above their entitlements, up to an additional 4 weeks per year. Also, employees can apply to be paid out for their annual leave by cashing in up to 10 days annually.
Parental Leave:
Miele understands the importance of family and offers primary caregivers up to 12 months of combined paid and unpaid parental leave, with the option of a further 12 months unpaid leave. In addition to any Government contributions, eligible maternity leave employees receive 10 weeks leave on full pay.
As part of our commitment to families, we also offer paternity leave: Paternity Leave is a single, unbroken period of up to 52 weeks of which one week is paid, taken by a male employee upon the birth of his child.

Gain extensive on-the-job training under the supervision of qualified technicians.
Upon successful completion, an opportunity for ongoing employment within our Service Division as a Miele Field Service Technician.

For Miele, sustainability is entrenched in the values & traditions of the company and is the absolute foundation for long-term corporate success. Miele is a member of the UN sustainability organisation Global Compact and signatory of the “Diversity Charter”. Miele publishes a sustainability report every two years.
We have adopted an environmental management system in line with the international environmental standard ISO14001. We do this through various initiatives including, energy and water savings, waste reduction and recycling from our staff kitchens, Miele Experience Centres, offices and our warehouses.
“We recently embarked on a sustainable production journey with our latest content series. We challenged ourselves to make the production a completely sustainable one, working with limited crew and using only battery powered equipment, reducing waste and recycling on set. In an industry first, we are humbled to have been awarded the ‘Green Seal’ certification by the Environmental Media Association (EMA), a body which honours and recognises progress in sustainable production.”
