Sustainability & Social Impact
We’re a force for good.
RACQ’s “A Force for Good” sustainability framework is made up of four key pillars that direct the Club’s activities, including areas of focus, outcomes, metrics, and our alignment toSustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We aim for our teams to be a true reflection of our communities and are committed to inclusion particularly people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage, and those who may experience diversity or disability related barriers in securing employment. Applicants from these and other diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. If you have any support or access requirement, please advise us at the time of applying.
RACQ is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. As an organisation we believe excellence manifests in many forms. This is why we are committed to supporting our employees to achieve excellence in their performance, personal wellbeing and belonging within an inclusive, flexible & diverse workspace. These are the cornerstones of our organisational ethos.
The progress against these pillars will be reported annually in the Club’s For the Greater Good Report.
Being part of RACQ means contributing to a purpose-driven organisation prioritising community well-being.
RACQ is actively involved in various community initiatives and strives to impact the lives of its members positively. Joining RACQ at the start of your career provides you with a solid foundation and aligns you with a company that values integrity, teamwork, and dedication to service.
The RACQ Foundation
When disaster strikes, the RACQ Foundation is there to help
Since 2011, the Foundation has distributed over $14 million to assist more than 400 Queensland community groups affected by natural disasters and drought.
Through its Community Grants program, RACQ Foundation allows community groups, charities and sporting clubs to rebuild after natural disasters and to prepare for the future with resilience-based projects.

Diversity & Inclusion Commitment
RACQ is committed to fostering a workplace culture that champions diversity and inclusion.
We recognise that a diverse workforce brings a wealth of perspectives, ideas, and talents, ultimately contributing to innovation and success. RACQ actively promotes equal opportunities for all employees, irrespective of their background, gender, ethnicity, or any other characteristic.
In addition to inclusive policies, RACQ implements diversity initiatives to support our commitment further, and we’re always looking to listen, learn and improve across the board in collaboration with our employees.

LGBTQIA+ Inclusion
We strive to create a workplace where LGBTQIA+ staff feel they belong, so we’ve committed to achieving the Australian Workplace Equality Index bronze tier status by 2024.
To do this, we’ve:
Created the Affinity Employee Resource Group.
Developed visible symbols of LGBTQIA+ inclusion and support in the workplace and community.
Developed optional training on LGBTQIA+
Developed an annual LGBTQIA+ Action Plan.
Disability Inclusion
We support employees with lived experience with disability and strive to promote a safe and accessible workplace that makes building a career easier.
To do this, we’ve:
Launched the EnAble Employee Resource Group
Joined the Recruitable Program
Provided optional Disability Confidence training
We’re also developing a Disability Inclusion Action Plan, which includes undertaking an accessibility audit to understand the barriers to employment for people with a disability.
First Nations & Cultural Inclusion
Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds, and actions of all Australians so that they can enjoy a nation strengthened by respectful relationships.
We support the national reconciliation movement through our Reconciliation Action Plans (RAP) and RAP Employee Resource Group.
In 2020, we formally set out our commitments to reconciliation in our first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
In October 2022, RACQ successfully implemented our Innovate RAP.
The Innovate RAP, which runs until October 2024, details our reconciliation journey and outlines the actions we plan to take over the next two years and beyond. It prioritises three key areas:
Building cultural awareness and knowledge among our people.
Enhancing relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders, businesses and communities.
Creating economic opportunities for employment and the procuring of business.
While we recognise this is just a start, our Innovate RAP provides RACQ with a blueprint for us to make further meaningful contributions to reconciliation in Queensland.
We’re committed to building cultural awareness at RACQ. We do this by continuing to:
Raise awareness of and celebrate cultural days and events of significance.
Build confidence in our workforce through Cultural Awareness training.
Learn about the cultural diversity profile of our people.
Explore additional cultural inclusion activities and/or initiatives.
You can find out more about this in our Greater Good Report here!
Gender Equality
We strive to achieve gender equality in our workplace, as outlined by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA).
To achieve best practice, we’ll continue to:
Complete our annual gender pay gap analysis.
Maintain a gender balance amongst our leaders.
Set gender targets for under-represented business areas.
Evolve our offering for parents and carers.
Review WGEA standards and look for areas to improve our practices.
Reporting on gender equality at RACQ.
Each year, RACQ submits an annual report to the WGEA. This government agency is charged with promoting and improving gender equality in Australian workforces and helping organisations comply with their reporting requirements under the Workplace Gender Equity Act 2012.
RACQ also compiles information on the gender demographics of our employees and our workforce management across genders:
