The Sussan Group
Welcome to The Sussan Group, a proud Australian retailer for women and the team behind three of Australia’s most loved fashion brands: Sussan, Sportsgirl and Suzanne Grae. With more than 450 stores nationwide and a team of over 3,300 passionate people, we’ve been shaping Australian fashion since 1939.
As a company led and owned by women, we truly understand the transformative power of fashion in women’s lives. We believe firmly that women hold immense potential to drive change and that when women rise, we all rise.
Our leadership team is proudly female-led, and we’re committed to building genuine career pathways that support women at every stage of their journey.
We passionately uphold the values of our Group Purpose: Making a positive impact is at the core of everything we do in the lives of Australian women, our customers, our team, our suppliers, our community and the sustainability of our planet.
In 2024, we became a certified B Corporation™, – independently recognising our high standards of performance, accountability and transparency across environmental, social and governance practices. From investing in more responsible fibres and fabrics to reducing waste and exploring compostable clothing, we’re focused on making progress where it matters most.
If you’re considering a future in retail or fashion, we’d love you to join us. We offer flexible working, meaningful development opportunities and the chance to grow your career across our brands — all within a supportive, inclusive and inspiring environment.
Sportsgirl
Sportsgirl is more than just a store – our stripes are a part of modern Australian culture. We are creative, playful and LOVE fashion and colours.
When we’re together, there’s power and support. belonging and safety. simply hanging out is often the beginning of something. idea sharing, problem sharing (and outfit sharing). friendship, connection, laughing, growing. everyone hanging out, finding themselves belonging in this safe space.
We are inclusive. we are kind. we are strong. we are a community. We are generation Sportsgirl.
As part of the Sussan Group, Sportsgirl is a privately owned fashion retailer with a well-established and iconic history in Australia and operating stores nationally.
Working with like-minded people inspires great things, which is why we believe our culture is unique. We are also really proud to have a culture that truly values our people and, just as importantly, gives back to the community.

We Celebrate Diversity
First Nations People
We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples of the Kulin nation and the Wallumattagal peoples of the Dharug nation on which our corporate head offices are situated.
We pay our respects to their Elders past and present and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
With great pride and a deep sense of responsibility, The Sussan Group’s Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), which outlines our commitment and contribution towards reconciliation efforts in Australia was formally endorsed by Reconciliation Australia in February 2025.
We acknowledge that reconciliation isn’t simply something that we plan and commit to on paper. It has to be something that we actively live and grow from every day as a team and business. As a Group, we have the opportunity to leverage the power of our unique retail legacy across three iconic Australian brands to impact, influence and advocate for the retail industry to commit to and contribute towards reconciliation efforts in Australia.
We recognise there is more work we can do to continue our own learning and will actively work towards this through our commitments and actions in our Innovate RAP framework of relationships, respect and opportunities and build on the foundations from our Reflect RAP.
We thank all our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander partners who have led, guided and contributed towards our Innovate RAP
