Located in South East Queensland, Unitywater is about more than just water and sewerage services. Our purpose is to keep communities healthy.
We provide safe, high-quality and reliable water and sewerage services to the communities of Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Noosa. We are committed to caring for our customers, our communities, our people and our environment. We work around the clock 365 days of the year, knowing our services are important to liveability and the quality of life in our region.
Unitywater’s clear purpose, vision and shared values underpin how we do business. These guide our people to make a meaningful contribution to our business operations, our goals and our aspirations.
Innovation
Innovation is a key focus for Unitywater. It is one of our corporate values and the driving force behind much of what we do. We are constantly exploring new and different ways to deliver better water and sewerage services. This not only improves operational efficiency and environmental performance but allows us to deliver quality services at a lower cost.
We actively encourage and support innovation among our team, developing new products and services and alternative solutions for customers. We embrace emerging technology and industry innovations to improve our services.
Sustainability
We’re crystal clear about our sustainability goals. Sustainability is more than just a big word to us, it’s a big part of our future and yours. That’s why we’re committed to making changes to the production and supply of water and sewerage services to reach net zero.
We are one of 14 Australian and New Zealand water utilities to join the Race to Zero – a United Nations-backed campaign to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
Community
Through our Community Grants, we support social and environmental causes by partnering with groups who make a real impact on the communities in which we all live.

Meet Emily
Celebrating Women in STEM Scholarship Winner
Meet Emily Harding. Emily is a third-year Civil Engineering student at the University of the Sunshine Coast and a recent winner of Unitywater’s Fiona Waterhouse Women in STEM Scholarship. The scholarship provides Emily with a monetary prize of $5,000 as well as paid work experience in our Undergraduate Vacation Program over the summer holidays and a place in our Graduate Development Program when she finishes her studies at University.
Emily is passionate about encouraging women to enter STEM fields and reflects on the fact that there is still a gender gap with a lack of females in her classes and in engineering careers.
Unitywater is proud of our scholarship program which provides us with the ability to discover talented students like Emily and provide them with entry-level career opportunities to kick start their careers.
Meet Linton Noon from the Kalkadoon (Kalkatungu) mob in central Queensland.
Linton is a Mechanical Fitter at Unitywater and part of our First Nations Network.
Linton joined Unitywater in 2021 and enjoys the variety in his role, meeting different people and getting out and about in our beautiful region.
As a Mechanical Fitter at Unitywater, Linton’s day is spent in the workshop repairing pumps or gearboxes, driving one of our heavy rigid trucks to pick up or deliver parts to different sites, responding to pump station breakdowns or fixing faults at our treatment plants.
Unitywater’s First Nations Network is made up of our First Nations team members. We meet quarterly with the purpose of connecting with each other, telling stories and having a yarn.
Unitywater operates in one of the fastest-growing regions of Australia, providing essential water supply and sewerage services to residents and businesses in the Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Noosa regions.
At Unitywater, there are many opportunities for a career in STEM, and our female team members who pursue a career in these fields role model what is possible for the next generation.
Women represent 36% of Unitywater’s Executive Leadership team and Board, strongly focusing on fostering an environment where women are supported to pursue rewarding careers alongside personal and professional commitments.
We create an inclusive workplace that meets the needs of our employees through initiatives such as:
Healthy Families Program: Provides 20 weeks of full pay for the primary carer, four weeks for the secondary carer, continuation of superannuation payments for the full period of leave (up to 52 weeks) and a $5000 return-to-work payment to help ease the transition back to work after extended periods out of the workforce. The program is offered to all families, including birth, adopted, same-sex and single parents.
Flexible Work Practices: We support flexibility to ensure our people can balance the demands of work, career, personal, community and cultural commitments.
Gender Pay Equity: We have pay equity in like-for-like roles. Because we recognise that our gender pay gap indicates low participation of females in leadership or technical roles such as engineering, we’re also working on:
Women in Industry: Improving the representation of women within key technical and trade roles, encouraging careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) professions.
Women in Leadership: Improving the representation of women within leadership.
