We are looking for multiple Graduate Geotechnical Engineers or Engineering Geologists to be involved in the planning, management and undertaking of ground investigations across a range of projects in Queensland.
The role will have a strong fieldwork focus and will suit someone who enjoys working outdoors and thrives in a dynamic work environment. The hours in this role may vary depending on fieldwork and project requirements. Worksites will vary from preliminary investigations to construction phase supervision, in settings from rural sites to the CBD.

Key responsibilities:
- Soil and rock logging
- In-situ testing, including hand shear vane, pocket penetrometer, and Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP)
- Managing subcontractors for borehole drilling, including associated in-situ tests such as excavation of test pits, Cone Penetrometer Testing (CPT), and standard Penetration tests
- Reporting on pile bore conditions, foundations, and temporary batters
As you develop, you will also have opportunities to be involved in various aspects of geotechnical design.
Our preferred candidate will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or similar
- 1-2 years‘ experience in planning and undertaking ground/site investigations
- An ability to log in accordance with AS 1726 (geotechnical site investigations) and an understanding of the methodologies of AS 1289 (methods of testing soils for engineering purposes) will be highly regarded
- Experience in a consulting environment and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team are advantageous
- Proven report writing capability and project management skills are desirable
- A current Queensland driver’s licence
