In a company first, Nutrien Water is offering a 3-year Irrigation Apprenticeship, to those seeking a challenging and rewarding career in irrigation technologies.

About the Irrigation Apprenticeship

The Nutrien Water Irrigation Apprenticeship includes completion of the Certificate III in Irrigation Technology, a nationally recognised trade level certificate as part of the 36-month program.  Apprentices will acquire the skills and knowledge required to become an irrigation installer, operator, retailer or technician for residential, commercial or agriculture industries on completion of their studies.

Apprentices will learn on the job, working closely with mentors across the Nutrien Water business providing an opportunity to apply their theoretical learnings in the field.  This will include both internal and external industry experiences to provide a diverse range of opportunities.

On the job training will include: Irrigation and Agronomy – Soils, Fertigation, Moisture monitoring and crop-specific applications

• Irrigation Systems, Horticulture, Viticulture, Micro Irrigation, Centre Pivots, Pumping infrastructure
• Irrigation System Installation, Maintenance, Servicing, Automation and fieldwork
• Irrigation Design, Project management, Technical design, Engineering and Pumps
• Irrigation Sales, Administration and Customer service

About You

To be considered for the Nutrien Water Irrigation Apprenticeship, applicants will need to demonstrate a willingness to learn, strong communication skills, problem solving and leadership potential.

Experience in the agriculture industry is not required, however, we are looking for those who are genuinely passionate about supporting our farmers to manage their water.
